Intrigue is what sets us off on our course, and the STARS help us chart the way.

We’re on a journey of DISCOVERY. We’d love you to join us in the Hawke’s Bay…

Ad Astra

Down in the Antipodes, we’re guided by Takurua, the Dog Star, the brightest star in the summer night sky. That’s the star that we’re aiming for.
We found Ad Astra—Latin for ‘to the stars’—in Virgil’s ‘Aeneid’. It seems appropriate for an epic poem of journey to accompany you on yours.

Tasting Notes

This méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine is designed to bring joy. The journey is worth it, after all. Exuding a delightful array of fresh peach, apple and delicate floral aromas. The palate is wonderfully creamy, with soft round acidity and a delicate fruit sweetness.

Why we love the Hawke’s Bay

Hawke’s Bay/Te Matau-a-Māui is a haven of intertwining vineyards across an undulating landscape, and the size and diversity of this region makes it a paradise for lovers of most varietals. A hike to the summit of Te Mata peak affords a panoramic view of the surrounding verdant hills, or maybe you’re drawn to the coast where dramatic cliffs fall away into the Pacific. You might find yourself wandering through the ancient forests of the Kaweka Ranges chasing hidden waterfalls. Who says you shouldn’t? Then, as night falls, there’s nothing like drinking under the vast array of stars play across the sky, shining their utmost far from city lights.
